World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level for a component to be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A boost upgrade is a way to modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a high chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails; a failed upgrade will cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
In the endgame you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
item upgrading has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
When you have the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to be reached, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is leveled up.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.
When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same kind. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can increase in price even if you don't need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste a lot of resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. item upgrades can be very useful in PvP battles, since an item that is properly rolled it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it has gained, such as chances to be crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of the ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs listed above.
